The 3^rd album or better the 5^th if you count the 2 Lightning beat-man albums (Voodoo Rhythm)  he recorded as Wrestling Rock’n’Roll one man band, is the best so far . The 1^st (get on your knees, voodoo rhythm records) was a ‘BLUES TRASH SMASH HIT’ and it was a BEST SELLER  on voodoo rhythm records the 2^nd   ( your favourite position is on your knees) was a ‘INDUSTRIAL GOSPEL HORROR SOUNDTRACK’ record and it had a hard time to sell.. because it was so totally different to the 1^st one.. but now  with the 3^rd one this 2^nd one makes sense.. quiet complicated ha ? but anyway THE ONLY TRUTH AND TROU GOSPEL IS : THIS RECORD IS THE SHIT !!!!

Half of the record was recorded with guest musicians Delaney Davidson (dead brothers) on drums and Robert ‘Pantichrist’ Butler on the slide the other half of the record was recorded at home in the Living room and the Toilette ‘THE CLOWN OF THE TOWN’ is dedicated to the SUN Artist HOWLING WOLF and DÄLLENBACH KARI (swiss legendary, local drunk and clown of the town of the late 30’s) ‚i belong to you ‚ and ‚i wanna know’ is pure GARAGE PUNK ‚coco grace ‚ or ‚ one fine day’  SUGAR SWEET BALADS..

Das nun dritte  Album unter Reverend Beat-Man, das fünfte insgesamt, wenn man die 2 Lightning Beat-Man Platten dazu rechnet.

Die Brücke zum fulminanten Blues-Trash Knaller-Album ‚get on your knees’ und dem experimentellem Industrial-Album mit den Church of Herpes ist gebaut, die Songs sind hälftig mit Gast musikern (Delaney Davidson von den Dead Brothers am Schlagzeug oder Robert „Pantichrist“ Butler an der Slide) im Star Track Studio von GUZ eingespielt worden, die andere Hälfte von Beat-Man selbst - in seinem Wohnzimmer oder Toilette.

Ettliche Gastmusiker sind neben seinen One-Man-Band Aufnahmen am Werk: z.B. Sybille Häberli an der Gitarre oder Jeroen Visser. Diese Platte ist die persönlichste bis jetzt, mit vielen akustischen Blues Nummern oder bis zum Anschlag übersteuertem Blues Trash, Rhythm’n’Blues etc. Die Platte ist sehr abwechslungsreich und wird dieses mal mehr oder weniger durch die Texte, die sich wie Predigen anhören, dominiert. Liam Watson (Toe Rag) hat mal gesagt, dies sei ein RECITATION Album.. „Sprechalbum“ so zusagen. Genau das bringt dann The Beat-Man Way auf den Punkt: Durch das viele touren in Europa und Uebersee ist das musikalische Spektrum deutlich gewachsen und viele Einflüsse, wie Gospel, Folk, pre II WW music etc. haben ihren Platz in der Musik von Reverend Beat-Man gefunden. „The Clown Of The Town“ ist eine schnelle Blues Nummer im Style alter SUN Records Artisten wie HOWLING WOLF. „I Belong To You“ und „I Wanna Know’ ist purer GARAGEN PUNK‚ „Coco Grace“ oder „One Fine Day“ sind schnulzige, vor Zucker triefende BALLADEN.

Da Deutschland schon immer ein wichtiger Markt für Reverend Beat-Man ist, zollt er diesem durch „Meine Kleine Russin“ Tribut; der Song ist auf Deutsch.Dies ist Vol 1 von insgesamt 3 wobei Vol3 eine DVD sein wird, von ettlichen Filmemachern aus der ganzen Welt, die zu einem Reverend Beat-Man-Song ein Video gemacht haben.
